Digital Creative Director

Amsive Digital is looking for a Creative Director to join our agency’s fast-growing creative team. The Creative Director will conceive and execute compelling digital creative that supports clients’ brand communication and marketing performance goals. This is a management role; you will work with concept, graphic, motion, and UX/UI designers to create impactful digital advertising and marketing solutions.

This is a remote-optional position, though we would love to meet candidates interested in future flex work schedules near our New York City and Nashville offices.

The ideal team members are both “right-brained” (creative) and “left-brained” (analytical), able to use data-driven insights to inform performance-minded creative.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the efficacy and imagination of a killer digital creative team’s work, in the quintessential “player-coach” role combining mentorship with hands-on creative delivery
  • Work with team to generate compelling digital creative including social media content, digital ad creative (still, video and motion), video stories, and website experiences grounded in a thorough understanding of best practices for intended medium
  • Work with an interdisciplinary team of account managers, UX researchers, copywriters, brand strategists, graphic designers, motion designers, and media managers to create content that creates emotional connections with our audiences and drives them to action
  • Establish and build trust with clients, guiding them through a creative process and advocating for creative solutions that support client strategies and goals with clear reasoning and intention
  • Collaborate with our business development and project management teams to advise on digital opportunities and effectively scope project deliverables and staffing needs
  • Understand and evolve brand identities into visual and style guides for a variety of content formats
  • Evaluate client and competitive digital landscapes, identifying opportunities for unique visualizations of client value propositions and emotional benefits

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of digital design experience working at a creative agency, creative startup, or similar high-volume, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong understanding of successful performance creative principles, especially in an ecommerce and lead generation context 
  • Understanding and demonstrated experience in building mobile-first digital experiences with strong UX foundations using prototyping tools
  • A killer design aesthetic with strong eye for typography, color, composition, and digital communication strategies, as demonstrated in a portfolio 
  • Solid understanding of video and motion creation and delivery best practices including strategy, ideation, storyboard creation, look and feel, connecting and understanding of storytelling in various online and on-air delivery formats (10, 15, 30, 60 and 120’s)
  • Demonstrated experience working successfully with external partners and resources including VO talent, video production teams, photographers, etc.
  • A strong grasp of CSS, Javascript, HTML5, and front-end development capabilities for executing design is a plus.
  • You are a mentor and a leader and are excited to manage and grow our team of digital designers.
