Amsive Digital to Host Real Talk: Women in Silicon Alley As Part of Social Media Week 2015 Amsive Digital Published: February 24, 2015 2 min read Categories: News On Wednesday, February 25th, Amsive Digital will partner with Techncolor and Aint I Latina? to host its first Social Media Week event called “Real Talk: Women in Tech In Silicon Alley”. The panel will feature four women who are leaders in the tech space and will speak of their experiences of working in the tech industry. They will also discuss several issues raised across various social media platforms in response to the recent Newsweek piece “What Silicon Valley Thinks of Women” The discussion will be moderated by Janel Martinez, founder of “Ain’t I Latina?” and contributor to TechNColor. Janel previously served as Content Producer at NewME, a customizable support platform that transforms cool ideas into great businesses. Prior to NewME, she served as Technology Editor at Black Enterprise, the premier business, investing, and wealth-building resource for African Americans, where she oversaw the editorial strategy for technology across the company’s platforms. Her work and insights have appeared on various media sites including Cosmopolitan for Latinas, NPR’s Latino USA, HuffPost Live and The Root, as well as Arise News. The event’s panelists also include: Ariel Lopez, CEO and founder of 20/20 Shift. A talent acquisition strategist, career advisor and entrepreneur with an expertise in digital media and technology,Ariel makes her living by helping others find a better way to live theirs. She has experience hiring marketing, advertising, and tech professionals for some of the world’s most known brands like Amazon to emerging startups. Ariel founded 2020Shift, an online education platform designed to get minority college students and recent grads into AdTech. Her motto is turning passion into profit and helping others to do the same! Rachel Brooks, Entrepreneur and consultant at Thoughtworks and founder of Citzen Made Rachel Brooks solves tough problems and create solutions with impact for brands, organizations, and software companies. Over the years, she’s worked as a digital advocate for large brands, agencies, and startups alike. Rachel works with creative, development, and marketing teams to get to the root of the problem, and find solutions that stick. Her focus is enterprise ecommerce and product strategy, and her expertise is in mass customization runs deep. You can find her consulting with Fortune 100’s on their product strategy, or even on a factory floor getting to the root of software issues. You can frequently find Rachel speaking to crowds about the future of manufacturing Christina Morillo, Information and Technology Expert Christina is an Identity Access Management (IDAM/IAM/IDM) professional with a 15 year history in Information Technology, IT Security, IAM Architect and Process Design and Access Governance. She is well versed in IAM deployments, Global Implementations, Role-based Access, Risk Mitigation, Application development and Automation. Microsoft Certified Professional with both a B.S. in Information Technology, and an A.S. in Computer Science. The event will take place between 7:00- 8:30 PM at Amsive Digital’s offices in the Flatiron District of New York City, located at 915 Broadway in Suite 501.
