Requirements:

• Bachelors or advanced degree in marketing, advertising, communications or a related area
• Understanding of basic marketing principles
• Experience with search engines, internet usage, and basic online principles
• Intimate with a range of web 2.0 and social media platforms, and related online marketing strategies
• Strong project management and organization skills
• Strong writing and oral communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Desired Experience:

• Experience writing/editing for the web (blogging and other web-based content)
• Experience creating and implementing SEO strategies and/or campaigns desired
• Familiarity with content management systems (WordPress, Joomla)
• Familiarity with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, WebTrends)
• Basic knowledge of HTML

You’ll be working closely with a Strategist, in addition to working as part of a larger SEO/Social strategy team. You may also work independently on some projects.

You will be responsible for key components of online marketing projects including SEO, linkbuilding, community management, and blogging/content production.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Keyword research – developing targeted lists of search keywords that represent client’s SEO objectives
• Search Optimization – carry out on-page keyphrase optimizations and update client websites for SEO
• Community management – support client blogging efforts, SEO and social content strategy
• Content production – writing client blogs and external articles with client-consistent voice, coordinating additional blogging efforts with content teams
• Linkbuilding strategies – execute linkbuilding campaigns, and facilitate additional linking efforts with dedicated link building team
• Search Optimization – carry out on-page keyphrase optimizations and update client websites for SEO
• Project management – assist with reporting and analytics, client meetings
• Excel & PowerPoint – assist in the development of client facing reports and proposals for online marketing.
• Continuing education – keep abreast of industry developments and research and participate in the SEM/SEO/social community online
• Working with account leads to translate client objectives into search and social marketing strategy
