Unfollowed on Twitter? This Is why

Ever wondering why you lost that last Twitter follower? DK Media has just released an info graphic that includes 15 reasons why someone may unfollow your Twitter account. 52% of people said they will unfollow someone if they are Tweeting too much, and 48% said they will unfollow because of obnoxious self promoting Tweets. Some other reasons included  posting spam, a boring account, offensive/unprofessional content,  hash-tag abusers, and too many Re-Tweets.

Samsung and Sony Release Waterproof Smartphones

Samsung has just revealed the new Galaxy S5 which also happens to be water-resistant, and Sony just release the waterproof Xperia Z2, the successor to the also waterproof Z1. Samsung and Sony’s latest phones will resist exposures to water, so that the next time they get dropped in the sink/pool/puddle/toilet bowl, it will not break. The shift towards waterproof electronics is gaining momentum, because it is something that the consumer has always wanted and needed.  Most of Sony’s phones and tablets are now waterproof, and they are even selling ear-buds that come in a bottle of water when you buy them (a marketing technique to show how waterproof they really are). Motorola also tried this back in 2009 with a water resistant Android. The thing is, there is nothing fancy about the material being used for these new products, it is just plastic. The phones also end up being more durable in general as a result.

For those who don’t have a waterproof phone, companies like Liquipel will waterproof smartphones but the consumer will have to shell out 60 bucks in order to have it done.

Google Launches Built in “OK Google” Voice Feature

The “OK Google” voice search has just been added to Chrome beta. Google has been pushing voice as one of its preferred input methods and has now built voice search right into the latest Chrome beta for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

To use this feature just say “Ok Google” and the browser will start listening to your searches. So far this feature only works in English. You can also use this to set Google Now reminders and alarms, local searches, and directions.
