The Takeaway: Every week Bing seems to be expanding its mobile and online presence making it more and more of a competition with Google. The only question that remains is whether or not they can ever beat them in search. Google’s Eric Schmidt Gets $100 Million Dollar Pay-off; Fast Company With the announcement last week that Larry Page would be replacing now former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, the question remains how this will effect the overall direction of Google. The Takeaway: It’s fair to assume that Larry and Sergey were the strings behind Schmidt this whole time. Many assume this staff shakeup only cuts out the middleman. With the middleman out of the question, it’s fair to assume that Google will be more aggressive in certain fronts (i.e. search expansion and product launches).
